ServiceCited for pet sitters

SEO and AI search for pet sitters and cat sitters

Owners booking a sitter are trusting you with their home as well as their pets, often weeks before a holiday. ServiceCited helps your website answer what they ask first: which visits you offer, where you go, and why you can be trusted with a key.

What your customers ask Google and ChatGPT

  • “cat sitter near me for home visits twice a day”
  • “house sitter who looks after dogs overnight”
  • “pet sitter for two weeks over Christmas in Bristol”
  • “someone to feed my cat while I'm away”
  • “pet sitter for a senior dog who needs tablets”

ServiceCited checks whether your site gives search engines and AI assistants what they need to answer searches like these with you.

What goes wrong

Where pet sitters lose customers online

The problems we find most often — and every one of them is fixable.

  • Drop-in, house sit or overnight?

Each is a different service with different questions. Squeezed into one vague “pet sitting” paragraph, assistants can't tell which you offer or how long a visit lasts.

  • Cat owners can't tell you do cats

Cat sitting is a search of its own. If every photo on your site is a dog, cat owners — and the assistants answering them — move on.

  • The home side goes unmentioned

Keys, alarms, plants, post and bins: owners worry about their house too. A sitter who writes down how they handle it stands out.

What we check

The checks that matter most

ServiceCited runs 80+ checks on every scan. For pet sitters, these are the ones that move the needle first.

  • A section for each type of visit

Drop-ins, overnight stays and house sits, each with its length, what's included and the prices you publish.

  • The pets you care for

Dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets, and any you don't take, written plainly, with whether you'll give medication the owner's vet has prescribed.

  • Trust and key handling

Insurance, background checks and how you look after keys and homes, written only from what you tell us.

  • Holiday booking

How far ahead owners should book busy dates, and your cancellation terms, in your own words.

FAQ

Questions from pet sitters

Type to search these questions, or ask anything about getting found on Google and AI.

Should I show my holiday availability?

If Christmas and summer fill up, say how far ahead owners should get in touch and link to your booking page. Don't promise dates you might not have: assistants may repeat what your site says.

I give pets their medication. How should I describe that?

Say what you're comfortable with and that you follow the instructions from the owner's vet. Posts never suggest medicines, doses or treatments.

Is it safe to say which streets I cover?

Name neighbourhoods and postcode areas, not streets or clients' homes. That's enough for local searches, and it keeps your clients' homes, and the dates they're empty, private.
