Wix integration

Wix SEO for dog walkers, sitters and groomers

Wix is a favourite with walkers, sitters and groomers who built their own site, often with Wix Bookings taking the appointments. ServiceCited's Wix app, coming soon, connects through Wix's own app screen and adds what's usually missing: your areas, your trust details and labels Google can read.

Connecting Wix in one click is coming soon: Wix still has to approve our app. Until then, add one line of code to your site. Google and Bing see the fixes it makes. AI assistants don't run code on your page, so they don't.

What you get

What ServiceCited does on Wix

  • Labels for your pet business

ServiceCited adds LocalBusiness labels to your Wix site with your areas, hours, booking link and credentials, built from your profile.

  • Seasonal posts on Wix Blog

Coat-care guides, holiday booking reminders and fireworks-season posts go onto Wix Blog as drafts or live, with page names and descriptions set.

  • Service text written for you

Where a service page is thin, you get the words to paste into the Wix editor, with only the prices you choose to publish.

  • Publishes posts to Wix Blog as drafts or live
  • Sets SEO titles and descriptions on the posts we publish
  • Adds LocalBusiness, FAQ and LocalBusiness structured data to your site

Setup

Use ServiceCited on Wix today

  1. 1Copy your site's one-line script tag from ServiceCited.
  2. 2Paste it into your site's header code (custom code / code injection settings).
  3. 3Approved fixes go live through the snippet for Google & Bing (AI assistants don't run it). No logins or passwords are shared.

Google and Bing run the code like a browser, so they see these fixes. AI assistants like ChatGPT read the page as it arrives, so they don't.

Permissions the Wix app will ask for

  • Create and publish blog posts
  • Read your blog posts
  • Read your draft blog posts (to choose an author for new posts)
  • Update SEO titles, meta descriptions, social tags and structured data
  • Read your current SEO settings
  • Convert post content into Wix's rich-text format
  • Pick a site member as the blog post author
  • Read your site's name and address
  • Read your store's products (to find a product page by its address)
  • Read your store's products on the older Wix Stores catalog (same reason)

Nothing changes on your site until you press Optimize — and every change is listed in your history, where you can undo it.

Good to know

Wix tips for pet businesses

  • Don't leave services only in Wix Bookings

Wix Bookings lists services on its own booking pages. Add a short text section for each service on your main pages too, so the facts sit where search engines look first.

  • Keep key facts as real text

Wix makes it easy to place your phone number or areas inside an image. Keep them as text, so they can be read by search engines and tapped on a phone.

  • Put your areas in the footer

A short line like “Walks and visits in Clapham, Balham and Tooting” in your Wix footer shows on every page, so every page says where you work.

What can ServiceCited change on Wix?

Once our Wix app is approved (coming soon), it adds business labels to your site and publishes posts to Wix Blog with their page names and descriptions. For other page text and photo descriptions, you get the exact words and where to paste them.

Will it touch Wix Bookings?

No. ServiceCited never changes your services, bookings or payments in Wix. It checks that your booking page is easy to find and linked from your service pages.
