Website FAQ for livery yards

16 questions horse owners ask before choosing a yard

Moving a horse is a big decision, so owners ask detailed questions about routine, turnout and facilities before they visit. Answer them on your yard's website, plainly and with weekly prices where you can, so the visit can be about the horse rather than the basics.

Examples

What a good answer looks like

Written for a made-up business. Use the length and the directness, not the facts.

  • What's included in full livery?

Full livery covers everything day to day: two feeds, hay, mucking out, turnout and bringing in, rugging and boots. It's £150 a week, with clipping and exercise charged as extras.

  • Is there turnout all year round?

Yes. From November to March, horses go out for at least five hours a day on our winter paddocks; from April to October, most stay out all day in small groups. We rest a third of the fields each summer.

  • Do you have a waiting list for stables?

Yes, for every type of livery. Fill in the short form on our livery page and we'll contact people in order when a stable comes free, which is usually two or three times a year.

FAQ

Putting answers on your site

Google stopped showing FAQ dropdowns in its results in 2026, so the win is the answers themselves: written on your pages, where people and AI assistants read them.

Should we publish our livery agreement?

A summary helps: notice period, payment terms and what each livery includes. Owners comparing yards look for those, and putting them on the site avoids surprises when the agreement arrives.

Winter turnout is limited here. How do we say so honestly?

Say exactly what you offer, like hours a day or all-weather paddocks, and the months it applies. Owners will find out in the first wet week anyway, so it's better they read it before they move.

Our yard rules run to three pages. Should they all go online?

Put the rules owners decide on, like turnout, arena times and the hours the yard is open, on your website. The full set can be a document new liveries get when they join.
